What is Studio 87?

Studio 87 was born out of the need for a space to create memorable experiences and in-studio photography. It has then morphed into a space where families share joy while celebrating their special events, visual artists let their spirit free, and the people from Baltimore and Dundalk, gather, create and share.

How long has Studio 87 been around?

The business was legally started in July 2021. We received the keys to the space in September and were officially opened for business in October 2021.

How can I schedule a tour?

What are your hours of operation?

We can provide the space as early as 7am and as late as 9pm. 9pm would reflect the time the space would need to be vacated and the parking lot empty as there is no loitering allowed outside of the space. 9pm does not reflect the time an event should end.

What can we do at Studio 87?

The space is modular enough to be used for celebrations, photoshoots, workshops, meetings, pop-up shops and so much more! The space has been used in a large variety of ways but mainly as a photo studio and for social and intimate events.

How large is the space?

The front of the space is a 1,000 sq ft square. There are 2 restrooms, 1 with a baby changing table, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator. The total usable space is 1,500 sq ft. You can view more amenities here.

How many people for seated or standing events?

Our max capacity for events is 50. This still leaves you plenty of room for decorations, tables, chairs, and entertainment. Our parking lot takes a maximum of 30 vehicles.

Do you provide tables and chairs?

Yes. We have 10 6ft rectangular tables, 2 4ft tables and 1 8ft table available. We also have 100 fan back folding chairs. All tables and chairs are black. Tables and chairs are available for every rental at no additional charge.

Can I rent the space for an entire day?

Can I serve alcohol?

You can serve alcohol and we ask that it’s done moderately. Our policy page is here, we allow beer and wine, however, liquor whether serving or selling will require a licensed and insured bartender. The selling of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.
